How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your ComGrow account directly inside the mobile app.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the ComGrow app.

  2. Tap the Profile icon in the bottom-right corner.

  3. Tap the Settings (⚙️) icon in the top-right corner.

  4. Select Account Settings.

  5. Tap Delete Account.

Before your account can be deleted:

  • You must settle any outstanding balances.

  • If you are a group administrator, all other members must leave the group before deletion can proceed.

  • You must not have unresolved transactions or compliance holds.

Once these conditions are met, you may proceed with deletion.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When your account is deleted:

  • Your profile information (name, email, phone number, address, etc.) is permanently removed from active systems.

  • Your login credentials are invalidated.

  • Your access to all groups is revoked.

  • Your account is permanently deactivated.

You will no longer be able to access the platform using the deleted account.

Data Retention for Regulatory Compliance

ComGrow operates within Zambia’s regulated financial framework and is supervised through licensed payment infrastructure.

Under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (AML/CFT laws), Bank of Zambia regulatory directives, and the Data Protection Act No. 3 of 2021, certain records must be retained for legal and regulatory purposes.

This may include:

  • Identity verification (KYC) records

  • Transaction histories

  • Audit logs

  • Compliance documentation

  • Dispute or complaint records

These records may be retained for up to 10 years from the end of the customer relationship, as required by law.

Such retained records:

  • Are securely stored

  • Are not used for marketing purposes

  • Are not visible within the app

  • Are maintained solely for legal, regulatory, or audit obligations

Where legally permitted, personal identifiers may be anonymised.

Timeframe

Account deletion from active systems occurs immediately once all eligibility conditions are satisfied.

Regulatory data retention obligations remain in effect where required by law.
